Hi Roderick, Thanks for your reply sorry I was slow getting back to you, yesterday before I seen your reply I recieved a message back from an ebay trader who is selling lots of this type of collet and to use them on a myford the qick release collet holder has to be used so I will have to sell all the collets with the qick release and buy some of the ER 32 type. Thanks again. John

hi I have a question which i think someone in the forums will know the answer to, I bought a myford lm7 off Ebay a few months back with some tooling which seems to suggest it was used for production, what I need to know is a bunch of collets that was with it the code on the collets is MA99E made by Hardinge it came with a quick release lever but I plan to sell it on ebay as I have no use for it, I need to know is there an adapter that will take these collets and marry up to the ml7. thanks for any info John |

hi I am doing some restoration on a ml7 , the countershaft bearings needed changing which I managed to do but the new shaft wont go through the bearings which I expected. I am looking for some ideas on how to ease the bearings I know the correct way is reamers but I dont have any so my options are limited, the only way foward that I can see is to try to borrow an expandable reamer or some emery cloth around a bar in a battery drill. Any ideas would be gratfully recieved. John |

Hi new to the forum so may not come across very clear. I have bought a Myford ml7 which I intend renovate , I have done a bit of stripping down but have come to a stop. My problem is with the gear box and leadscrew I dont know how to separate them, they are joined by a sleeve about three inch long with two roll pins which I considered to be one for the leadscrew and one for a stub from box. With the pins removed I fully expected to just slide the leadscrew away from the box but I was wrong I am hoping someone can put me back on track. Thanks for any advice. John |
