thankI have acquired some boring and turning tools which hold what appears to be tool steel which is about 3mm across with concave profile top and bottom. Does anybody know whether it is available and what it's called? Thank you

Hello Swarf I had noticed that, but assumed it was a coincidence. 158.75 graduations would be spot on!

Hello. Please can somebody explain to me how the above works? It has 160 graduations on the scale which, as far as I can tell, represent 5/8" travel of the carriage for each revolution of the wheel.

If I'm right, each graduation therefore conveniently represents 0.00390624" !
