Hi ketan
The wait is down to anticipated delivery dates from devon to yorkshire. The longer wait for single phase is due to minor store damage that they are awaiting the parts for to be able to repair it.

Single phase is last one.
There are 5 three phase left.
No more after stock gone as i understand it.

Hi jasonb
At the time of purchasing the warco i was unaware of the harrison . As i said i based my purchasing choice upon my old BH600 lathes quality.

If i wanted to i could have a new harrison but have set my budget at around the ?5000 mark

I wrongly anticipated similar quality to my old lathe.if you read my earlier posts you will also see that this was warcos third attempt on this particular model.

This morning I'm on the M42 south of birmingham, been stationary for 20 minutes an just got to the front of the closed lane....nothing here...whats the point another well managed motorway. Not an accident miles of cones and no workers in site. !!

It's a common problem these days, everything is thrown together as fast as possible and as long as it passes basic testing out it goes.
Long gone are the days of pride in your work and the bigger the company the worse it gets.....profit for shareholders rules!!

There is a common theme with all these incidents and that's the workshop keys....
No keys No tools No risks !!

So the question is who was it directed at ?

regardless it was a very offensive post especially when the poster was a moderator

the post was certainly not moderate

Hi Neil

I've been driving up and down the country on a professional basis for the last 34 years, I find since the introduction of managed motorways delays around the likes of Birmingham have gone from either side of rush rush hour to constantly all day long.

You used to be able to get on the M1 and run at a constant 60 mph (truck) and not take your foot off until you got to London, these days you are lucky to get 10 miles without having to slow dramatically only to speed up and slow down again repeating the process all the way down the country

As you say bad junctions don't help but "Managed Motorways " give me a break

I once new a guy who ...

sliced down his thigh - cutting gaskets with a stanley knife

dance after dropping a 4 inch grinder between his feet whilst it was still running

shatter his thumb when he hit it with a hammer

badly gash his hand with a chainsaw (luck he didn't loose it, it was running)

have more car crashes than anyone deserved

And finally get sacked because he was a danger to everyone in the workshop especially himself !!

Tony

PS he was a nice guy outside work.

I Agree that people only seem to post when they have an issue

But

Don't think it's a case of not fair as it is a comment upon failure issues not on numbers sold or good machines or position within the market.

this whole post was written as much as information for those like me (now) who are looking for a new machine and want information upon quality standards and service.

You have and are free at any time to post about how good your machines are as is anyone else, if they can be bothered to or not is up to them.

I feel the quality of my first warco lathe a 10 year old second hand BH600 was excellent, which is what prompted me to buy my next lathe from Warco but This lathe and the ensuing lack of good customer service has tainted that opinion badly

All my posts are my personal opinions based upon how I feel I have been treated, to which I am entitled as are you.

It's Called freedom of speech........

If people didn't post negative comments companies like Vauxhall for example could get away with the Zafira fire debarcle scott free and loads of people who's cars burst into flames for no apparent reason would be well out of pocket or someone could even have been killed. I am sure there are plenty of Zafira owners who love their cars and don't post about it !!

Further to an older post on this thread as to if Warco monitor this site the answer is yes as a comment made by me about warco was raised in a conversation the other day but was previously only been made on this site and not verbally, so either they do or someone keeps them up to speed.

"The pollution situation is now causing the Gobment to come up with the lowering of Mway speeds in areas of high pollution from 70 to 60 mph"

Have you driven around Birmingham or on the M62 lately you be lucky to get 40mph and then its constant stop start due to these managed motorways with imaginary "congestion ahead" - Yes caused by your bloody signs and badly managed motorway

I always thought that stop start created more pollution !!

Tony

Sat in a traffic jam on the M62.........ARRRRRRRGH........On a Sunday..........

Whilst looking for an alternative machine ,I have come across loads of posts on multiple websites including this one all with one thing in common it would appear that many of Warco's customers are having wiring issues on several of their machines, lathes, mills etc some brand new but most little used with various ages involved.

Various issues from simple loose wires to full meltdowns as in my case, but all wiring related !!

People don't look at the size of the seats they look at the number !!

You never see a family of five buying a car - at best you get two adults
