I've been using this for a while, simple to use and brilliant for my hobby of Field Target shooting as not many fields in the middle of nowhere have a post code.

I sign with the cheapest provider that gives me 68Mbps and I don't care about what router they provide as I turn its wireless function off. I bought a mesh wifi system and it's been superb, can't imagine life without mesh now.

If you are happy with your current speed just switch to whoever will match, or beat your current speed, at a better price. I'm a technician for a major broadband provider and don't get too hung up on FTTP or FTTC etc. just pay for what meets your needs. Do an online check for what speeds and deals are available to you and once you settle on a provider try and get a family member or friend who are with that provider to refer you. Don't forget you have a cooling off period so if you don't get what's promised you have a window of opportunity to leave.

With the jaws the way around in the pics the chuck can hold 90mm dia stock and just clear the cross slides bed, it wont crash due to the leadscrew cover. Chances are with a tool mounted you'd hit the jaws with the tool tip first anyway. I haven't checked with the jaws reversed but when I took the skin off a 130mm dia piece of cast iron there was loads of clearance.

I have a 160mm chuck on a Warco 250. The leadscrew cover stops the cross slide hitting the chuck body but if you're holding large diameters it is definitely worth checking the jaws and cross slide have clearance.

I use barrier cream if using anything oily/greasy. When I started my traineeship there was a lecturer who had bad dermatitis. He told us to always use it as once dermatitis has set in it is too late, barrier cream is prevention not cure. I also find that it is a lot easier to get your hands clean after using barrier cream.

Some top notch engraving there, shame it seems to be dying out. The only guy that I know of still doing gun work is Don Blocksidge but apparently he's no spring chicken and never took an apprentice on to continue the skill.

I use Windows Defender and the free version of Malwarebytes to do a manual scan every so often. I used to use the AV provided by my bank but it slowed my PC/laptop down. I got chatting to a computer geek in work and he advised me to run the setup I'm on now and to use the paid version of Malwarebytes if I insist on purchasing protection.

Is it the part below? It's for the WM 16 but could possibly be the same in both machines?

If you can measure up what's left there may be a file on Thingiverse.com or other such sites. If you post up the dimensions/specs I'll have a look and can 3d print one if you're stuck for a replacement from Warco.

I was in an amazing workshop the other day and there was a Hofmann rotary table there. The quality looked and felt amazing, a different animal to the chinese and Vertex rotary tables I've come across. Ideally I'd like to buy an 8" example and will be keeping an eye out for one coming up for sale locally, I'm in no rush so willing to wait it out for a bit.

Does anyone know of any things/common issues to check for with a Hofmann? Also, are dividing plates difficult to get hold of if I find one without them?

It was Southwestern steam that had the CI on Ebay that was 160mm with the skin on. I bought some CI off them a while ago for my collet chuck and it seemed really good quality with no blow holes and machined beautifully. I gave Ebay one final check and found a lump of meehanite cast iron at 170mm dia and 90mm long for £38 posted. I've ordered it and will have a local metal supplier I use cut it into 3 pieces for me.

Perfect, I'll order a couple of inch pieces of the 170mm stuff tomorrow. I'll also order some other material from them for other projects I have in mind. Glad I asked now as I've never heard of them.

Can someone please tell me of a place I can get some 160mm diameter cast iron? I want to make backplates for a couple of lathe chucks but I'm struggling to find raw stock to make my own. There's an Ebay supplier listing 160mm diameter meehanite cast iron but I've messaged him and its 160mm before taking the crust off so will be undersized once machined. If I can't find cast iron is there a suitable steel to use? There's a seller on Ebay that does Mild Steel Black, EN8, EN19HT or EN24T but I'm not sure what would be most suitable, if any at all?

I ditched Apple chargers and leads a long time ago. I only buy Anker products now, quality items and amazing durability.

If you are near Walsall then it may be worth trying Shaun Hill of ISP air rifles for blueing. He did a club members gun and the blueing was deep enough to drown in, stunning work. Not sure if he services/works on Titans but he certainly knows his way around air rifles so may be worth asking him if he can do all the work for you.

My daughter is ten and loves helping me. She hasn't operated any machines yet but loves working out how much is left to be removed etc. Hopefully my boy, only six years old, will show an interest when he's older and will spend time in the workshop as opposed to the xbox.
