Thread: I Need this exact motor! |

Br, It would appear that the German link I posted has an error in the flange type, B5 not B14. People have been kind enough to try and help me out with this, I am sorry if it has caused you any confusion or irritation. Regards, Martin |

Hi, This is the flange that I need as per the drawings for the linisher, I agree that the German link calls this a B14, but is it? Just checked with the maker of the linisher and waiting to hear back. Martin |

Hi Vic, I will have a go at a build log on a new posting, it will be warts and al;l as this will really stretch my skill level. It is not a very cheap project so I hope that I do not make many costly mistakes, hence my worry over this motor. Here are the waterjetted parts that I collect on Monday and will make a start when I have got all fasteners, VFD and metal stock together. The large pulley was jetted from 100mm stock and machined for me as I cannot get that big in my Myford! Also there is no way that i can cut 15mm steel and ally in those sizes. The small parts bottom right are clamps for plough planes, another project, one that has gone VERY well! Cheers, Martin |

Hi, See, here we go, 2 Pole, 4 Pole! all means nothing to me. I just need what the German motor is. German link does not state whether 2 or 4 pole? The pic I posted says B14 flange not B5 whatever that is? Getting confused now! Is the pic I posted OK? (2 Pole), will that work with a VFD? Martin |

Hi Robert, Found this one: Will this be OK? It is just that I have a dread of ordering a big lump like this and opening it to find it is wrong, silly I know! Any links for a VFD please, I know nothing about these either! Happy to help anyone out who wants to make a TV commercial or a Feature Film! Martin |

Hi All, I know zip about electric motors but am now getting the materials together for my linisher build using the Phil Vandelay plans on You Tube. Picking up the water jetted parts on Monday but want to order the motor. He got his in Germany and the link is this: https://shop.dwema.de/Elektromotor-Drehstrom-15kW-S6-3000-min-Welle-19mm-80-B14160mm-Flansch Please can anyone spec this exact motor for me to buy in the UK as I really do not want to get this wrong! Also what would be a suitable VFD unit to go with this motor please? Sorry to be so dim! Cheers, Martin |

Bump! |

Hi All, Grabbed this at Axminster Car Boot on Sunday for a song. I know zero about astro telescopes but this seems in good order overall although missing some parts. Missing one weight and the other is not able to tighten down onto the shaft. Seems to be a kind of entry level instrument but is it worth getting it into full working order before I move it on or just sell for parts? Its a CELESTRON 130 EQ model; Tripod all looks good. Any advice welcome. Cheers, Martin |

Hi All, Some while ago Axminster had some RIDER block planes on special offer, normally £24.99 these were offered at £12.99 so I bought 10 and after a while when the offer was over put them on EBay one at a time. 6 made £25; 3 made over £30 and one made the start price of £15, go figure? Mind you, I have far too often been guilty of what my wife calls "heliumitis" at auctions, just putting my hand up for that one extra bid over what you had worked out was your limit only to later find that was your profit gone! Cheers, Martin |

Tissue paper removed!: I think that the two small diameter rods are for turning the collar on the gauge? I am leaning towards some sort of bore gauge? Cheers, Martin |

Hi All, This was in last weeks haul and I have just got around to cleaning etc. The spring action on this is VERY strong indeed and has only a very sharp pointed plunger along with the various extensions etc. Does this have some special specific use please? All seems to be in perfect condition and very clean. Cheers, Martin |

Michael G, We ship as soon as the item is shown as paid rather than keep buyer waiting, seems the best way to us? Martin |

Hi All, Switched to Managed Payments a while ago now and get my money very early every Tuesday morning with out fail so far. It means that I no longer have to reconcile my PP account every month to account for refunds, postal "losses" etc which save me quite a bit of time as the payments are now net of all this. I used to dip into the PP account ever so often and transfer to our EBay business account which meant sorting out all the odd fees like InkFrog, disputes etc. It is supposedly a very tiny bit cheaper this way, (until the next EB spurious hike in charges) Cheers, Martin |

Thanks guys for the kind words! I do have several more of these large micrometers but have not got the time to get around to them. They will be easier to make now that I have my tig welder so perhaps I'll have another go. Cheers, Martin |
