Yep MA99E, my typing error.

Hardinge don't have MM99E listed, but that may be because it's another collet type, re-identified by Myford to disguise the true identity, or may have been a special.

I have a dovetail cutter here, that I had re-ground to 50 deg, when I made a new topslide for my mates bantam a few years ago.(Hacked out of an old B.R. rail chair)

You CANNOT TIG weld WITHOUT a shielding gas. This gas will usually be either PURE ARGON, ARGON/HELIUM mix, or PURE HELIUIM and just for the record (before you ask and ignore the answers), the ARGON/CABON DIOXIDE mixes, used for MIG, WILL NOT WORK.

I have an adaptor **LINK**

so that I can use the same regulator, either side or bottom entry, on either type of cylinder valve.

Personaly I have a Side Entry Regulator, as most if not all of the Rent Free cylinders and the smaller X or Y size BOC, have side rather than vertical outlet valves.

Try turning the shaft, whilst holding the chuck (to prevent it and so the worm wheel revolving), the worm "unscrewing" from the wheel should push the remains of the bush out. Only gentle turning should be used and try turning the shaft in both clockwise and anticlockwise, as you may not know if the worm is LH or RH.

The Newrton Tesla VFD and motor packages that they supply for Myfords came with resiliant mounted motors (even though the photos in the link show solid mounts, BUT call them to check to make certain, if you are interested) :-

The bushes fitted to the BSA's with steel lower fork stancheons are "Oilite" rather than a plain bronze.
