Thread: Removing Column form SX2.7
31/05/2021 13:39:21

Thank you Jason & Ron. I was wondering if the pins would need removing but had seen a photo on the internet with the pins in the base.

I am trying to move my SX2.7 milling machine and need to remove the column. I have removed the 4 bolts and it looks like it will separate when moving the column forward, but when trying to lift the column it won’t separate from base. Can someone who has done this before offer advice. Thanks.

Thread: Dore Westbury Milling Machine

Hi Brian,

Thank you for the information, very helpful.

So I can assume the upper part of the spindle assembly came pre drilled at 7/16 diameter.

Hi, When making a Dore Westbury MKII there was an option for the spindle to have a 3MT and no Myford thread on the spindle. Does anyone know what the diameter of through bore should be and what jaw bar diameter/thread was used for holding the chucks?

Thanks.

Thread: WARCO WM-250 lathe family and WM16 mill - 001
23/09/2013 15:37:03

Can I ask a question to all you guys with a WM-16 milling machine. Have any of you had to disassemble the machine to enable it to be moved and manhandled on to a bench/stand, and how practical is this?

Thanks.

Ian
