Thread: A1999 Tumbler sleeve gear retaining screw H43
28/06/2014 09:46:44

Myford asked for the model and year of the lathe yesterday morning and I have not heard from them since.

10x32 unf bolt did not fit so I do not know what size it is.

I tool the tumbler reverse of the lathe and drilled and tapped it to 5mm.

Now the lathe is up and running again.

Thread: A1999 Tumbler sleeve gear retaining screw H43

I have had a check this morning after arriving at work we have no BA nuts and bolts but i have tried 10x32 unf and 5mm.

I can get a 10x32 unf nut to run up the old broken part with no play and a 5mm nut will run up the new parts supplied by Myford.

I will try a 10x32 unf bolt when i get home.

I have had the A1999 Tumbler sleeve gear retaining screw H43 shear on my Myford Super 7. I have had 2 new ones supplied by Myford this week and both are to big the TPI is correct at 32 but the diameter is to large. Does anyone know the correct size. My lathe was build between 1991-1994.

I have been given a myford super 7 with a lot of tooling, I am currently sorting all the tools out and have across a Archer no 1 self rev tapping head it looks nearly complete apart from the bar to stop the body turning.

Are these any good ?
