Not sure how may are following the other post regarding a society for 3 1/2 inch gauge, I have grabbed the bull by the horns as they say and made an attempt at starting such a society. I'm very much in the early stages of setting up a website and forum although it is under way, anyone wishing to help it would be appreciated. Also a sneak peak of the website can be found here, **LINK**. I'm very much an amature at doing these things.

Hi all, having looked for said association recently i couldnt find anything, website is not known etc. Having spoken to a few friends and attending a few tracks in the past month i think its a good idea to start an association, i have made a start in setting up a website and intend on setting up a forum. Its very much just at the starting stage. I dont plan on charging an annual subscription, just a membership. I have spoken to members at Sale and Leyland who currently hold events for 3 1/2 inch locos and they are keen to be part, aswell as Nottingham showing interest aswell. Anyone who would like to help me set this up would be welcomed, feel free to contact me via PM. Thanks, Lee
Thread: Help with loco info
01/05/2013 19:47:31

Hi everybody,

Im looking for some help to try and find out any history regarding this locomotive, Myself and my friend purchased this locomotive from Station Road Steam at the Harrogate show in 2012, there was no history about the locomotive, all he could tell us was that it was owned by a train driver who was local to him, which is Lincolnshire.

Its a 3 1/2 inch gauge LMS 4-6-0 Jubilee, im not aware of any other models of this locomotive around, and im not aware that anyone does drawings for it. As it is now, its been painted up as 5629 'Straits Settlements' in LMS lined maroon. It really is a stunning model. Also there is eveidence that it may have had a different number/name previous to what it is now. Although im not sure what it was. I trawled the internet and I looked through archives on selling sites such as SRS and steam engines for sale, I'm pretty positive I found it on steam engines for sale, but with it being archived there was no contact details, I tried emailing the site administrator but had no reply.

So basically im appealing to abyone and everyone on here if they have seen it, or know who owned it, built it etc.

I have attached pictures as links to the bottom here, the 1st 6 pictures of it are as it is now, the 7th picture is the picture I found on steam engines for sale.

I hope someone can help me either by replying on here or by private message.

Many thanks,

Lee
