thanks jason, that is unusual. i think it would look better with finned barrels wont know if its possible using the original castings untill i get them.

hi, does anyone know david king from norwich? i have one of his steam engines and would like to know how old it is. it is a large marine engine with reverse and water pump. gary

ticktock, bob was only trying to give advice, your reply was very rude and might put people off helping you.

assembled some parts I made for a single cylinder marine engine. I have been restoring the original one and decided to copy it using whatever I have in the shed, the crank disk is made from a cheap rotary table.

after a long search for the proper manual for my Bridgeport I got one from ozarktoolmanuals.com very good product and advice, 10 days delivery from the good old US ov A they list loads of manuals for various machines, gary

I have a Harrison m250 owned for 10 years and am delighted with it I get a very good finish on most materials, gary

you are spot on hopper it is a pump, I discovered two valves inside it when I dismantled it. it feeds the made up water tank in the picture. the copper tube at the right of the picture is a whistle which I made for my grandson,big mistake don't get much peace now!

I have to disagree with you steve, a crane or forklift is often not practical on a house extension with poor access, been a slater for over 40 years and carry my slates on to the roof on most jobs. gary

neil Jason, let me remind you that this is not the first time ketan has spat his dummy with a fellow member. not so long ago he ranted to a fellow member who criticised Chinese tools and the whole post was deleted, pehaps he needs talking to. regards gary.
