can anyone tell me what the oiler is off, no markings on it apart from the plunger which is marked ESS the second item looks like a compressor of some sort, very small maybe for an air brush. no makers name on it, gary. |

finished a copy of a steam engine built by david king steam enthusiast and inventor. the original was built from castings. my one was built from stock i already had, will add pipework to the feed pumps once i decide on a tank. Edited By SillyOldDuffer on 06/10/2020 14:34:33 |

hi, i have a box of nord lock washers and find them very good. you dont need to tighten to much or you risk flattening the serrations, they can be used several times. when they came on the market i got a free bottle opener with a wing nut on it, the idea was you very gently tightened the wing nut with your fingers and it was impossible to slacken it without a pliers. |

thank you for all the replies, looks like varifocals are the way to go but do have some issues, i think i will give them a try. optician says i have a twelve week trial and can then swap to single focus if not happy. i am a slater by trade and will have to take extra care for a while ! gary |

i have had reading glasses for over ten years and now my optician says i need glasses for longer distance, she has suggested varifocals. are they suitable for the workshop? i also hear they take a while to get used to. |
