Thread: Physical Object in to Fusion 360 |

I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I want to create a 3d image of a badge so I can use it in Fusion 360 and other programs. I have thought of digitizing it by using a probe and a Mach 3 plugin, I have also considered using photos and VisualSFM to create a 3D image and then use meshworks. If someone has done this before or could recommend another solution I would be grateful. All I want to end up with is the ability to use the final 3D image on the surface of wooden boxes and plaques. |

Hi Richard I have a 6040 that I have replaced just about everything on. It's now quite reliable but the original air cooled spindle it came with has long since died. I tried a couple of routers but they are way too noisy and get very hot on long runs. I'm mainly cutting wood aluminium and brass. My main concern is spending a lot of money on a new import spindle ?

Quite interesting, I've been tinkering away in my workshop for all these years and never really thought there were many like minded people close by. I should of joined the forum years ago.

Hi Chaps Thanks for the warm welcome, Brian I'm a junction south of you. I thought about using a Gas flame on my next engine. Mainly to keep the cylinder free of moisture. |

I've decided to bite the bullet and invest in a water cooled spindle motor for my CNC. I Like the look of the Chinese ones on ebay but are they any good ? If anyones can make recommendations or know of a UK supplier I would be greatfull |

Hi Everyone, just thought I would introduce myself. I live in Nottingham and have an interest in manual and CNC machining . I'm currently building a couple of flame eater engines of Jan Ridders Design.
