Well, it's taken a while, but at last I've finished machining all the gears. Here they are laid out from 5th to reverse, left to right. More keyway broaching to do on the gear hubs and then I can start assembly. I intend to mount the whole lot into perspex "walls" to represent the casing faces. This will allow the workings to be seen as if it were see-through. The whole wll be mounted on a base made from an off-cut of our oak kitchen worktop.
