Bevelling the tool slide

The tool slide calls for the end to be bevelled at an angle of 15°. In order to achieve this, I decided that the time was right to fit the lathe with a faceplate so that I could mount the toolslide on that and use the toolpost-mounted spindle to mill the required angle. The facepalte was acquired from Arc Euro Trade along with a chuck mounting plate, both intended for the Seig SC6 lathe. The chuck backplate needed modification to fit but the installation was relatively easy. The photo shows the set-up ready to go. Next photo will show the result.
