I say almost as bad as it can get because the first new one I ordered when delivered turned out to be a dreadful two and a half year old ex demo/display machine in an even worse state. It had the same faults as this lathe but a lot worse, plus other faults such as a worn and corroded bed on which they had used sand paper to clean it up in several areas, I even warned them not to send me that machine while visiting their showroom, but that's another horror story. Big holes for big bearings. Despite what some may think, the Chinese factories do use good quality machine tool class bearings in some of their low priced machines, and they are used throughout the 1330's headstock. Its a shame then, that they make a complete mess of it all during assembly.
