The internals reassembled and casting surface repainted after removing the large amounts of casting sand still stuck there. At last, not a spot of crap anywhere. Apart from the fitters shoddy workmanship and the dreadful condition of the components and interior as delivered from the factory and the importer, the gears and shafts are pretty well made. But the design is not in the same league as even humble British made workshop lathes such as the Colchester Bantam and Harrison L5. But we get what we pay for, right, and for what we don't bargain for, even though this machine and the even worse one it replaced were advertised as 'Superb quality'.
