My principal interest is old cine projectors and films, but in recent years the need for repairs etc, and my complete lack of manual skill, forced me to get a lathe - a Harrison 11" with pcf - and a milling machine, Far Eastern with power feed and infinitely variable speed.
I have been unable to find any way of getting tuition. The one "class" I went to at a local college was no more than a chance to use the machines, with little or no input. I have learned by trial and (much) error, reading etc. Part of the problem is I really don't want to bother with too much "beginner" stuff as ME is essentially an adjunct, not the main purpose
If you want to know more about cine stuff and how I use ME, visit my site www.cinerdistan.co.uk.
