More about me:

Just started with a lathe ("Chaiwanese") plus a number of "bits" (but more needed!). Bought mainly for producing bits of all sorts for my "real hobby", flying model aircraft (after making various mods & bits & piec es to make the lathe work properly). But reading through this site and others, plus some books, suggests that it probably won't be too long before I start some "real engineering" - perhaps a stationery steam engine, a clock, and IC engine. We'll see.
