Live in Essex and previously rural Western Australia. Doctor by trade. No engineering training. Used to fly model planes and decided to build the Mate diesel so all my equipment in the plane had been built by me......I had already built the receiver and servos. Never finished the diesel as my eyesight failed at 39 and I couldn't see much. Returned to the UK to get treatment and have been back here for 20 years. Retiring in 2016 when I hope to build a Steam launch for use on the Marne which is about a mile from our holiday home in France.
