More about me:

What am I?
Good question.  Someone who is trying to get from cradle to grave as inoffensively as possible is one.
Another is someone trying to exerience as much as possible in the alloted time. To that end I have worked as a Teacher (cooking and allied subjects), Cook, Nurse, Slaughterman, machinist - EDM, machine engraving, repetition engineering - funiture maker, labourer, computer technician - current trade-, fruit picker, theatre orderly, spinal unit orderly, salesman (yuk), caravan park manager, and an etc.
I am fifty three years old, have a lovely supportive wife to whom I have been married for thirty years. A wonderfull eighteen year old son who is just finishing his final year of High School and plans to start Architecture next year at Uni. A sensational almost fourteen year old daughter who is an A average.  She can cook, play violin, cornet, euphonium and clarinet. Like me, she is interested in everything.

It took me thirty six years to obtain a decent lathe and milling machine and I regret not having done it sooner.
I get immense pleasure from making things with them.
I am also interested in woodwork and to that end have a pretty good woodworking workshop.
My workshop is thirty two sq/m and in it I have a 9 x 20 lathe, a largish mill-drill, table saw, six inch planer, thicknesser, wood lathe, several grinders, a couple of linishers, pedestal drill, a horizontal metal band saw, a fourteen inch wood band saw, numerous Hitachi and Makita power tools and once again a small plethora of etceteras.
I hate gardening and cutting the grass which is a pitty as there is about 500 sq/m of grass here to cut.
I run a one man computer business looking after the needs of small businesses.  Whilst I have been running it for eleven years, I can't say that it is profitable.
