I am a toolmaker by profession for the last 28 years. I make/ repair or service Injection mould tools for the medical / pharmaceutical industry, regularly working to tolerances of +/- 0.01mm. My workshop is an escape back to the days of old when I worked in a 'Jobbing Shop' doing, pretty much, a different job every day for absolutely anything. Now I also make/ repair clocks as a sideline, having recently served 3 years 'time' with a clockmaker, when my shifts allowed. I also make and repair all sorts of things for friends and family. I just like designing and making things I suppose! I am in the process of rebuilding my workshop, as I keep getting more kit (I may post some pics). I have made several of the tooling ideas in MEW, deviating on the designs to suit my needs. My wife is of the belief that I am an obsessive, her friends think I am anal!Bless them, they do not understand how much satisfaction can be taken from making something that works or looks good.
