I served my apprenticeship as a photo-engraver and photographer from 1954 until the chemicals got me in the late 70's, I had to work 2 jobs because of a large family most of that time, mainly in the building and engineering industry, because of the above I got my tickets as a welder/boilermaker this gave me a backup for a career change. My father was a mechanical engineer who from as far back as I can remember made his own trains and set up on HO scale, even as a little kid from the west midlands I used to watch and some times help him. Id'e flown free flight diesel powered craft years ago but now one of my gradsons is interested, so now I intend to build IC engines for both of us. I also sail, play Clarinet, still ride motor cycles, do a lot of woodturning and have done a lot of fosicking for gold, opal and gemstones in some pretty rugged terrain, I might be elderly, but still have a go at most things. All of my machinery is used, most of it home made. If you the reader needs more info send me an email. Thanks John Holloway
