Aprenticed from 1987 as a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer with Sun Valley poultry in Hereford, UK various jobs with various companies, worked up through Management, currently Chief Engineer at Allied Bakeries (Kingsmill Bread) Cardiff, Wales, UK with a team if 26 Engineers and a big budget.
Finally kitted out my workshop at the end of 2013 with a Colchester student 1800, 40" gap bed lathe, an unusual Van Norman 1V vertical mill (with quill) from 1941, was only supplied to Vickers Armstrong factories during the war from the States, lovely solid machine but have problems obtaining 5v collets and a Jones and Shipman 540 surface grinder. All run on a 4kw chinese invertor (VFD) with motors coverted to star( 240v 3 phase) run control circuits seperatly to ensure full, origional control.
