I am currently building a 2" scale Burrell showman's engine to the MJ design and being an apprentice trained machinist on lathes drilling machines and surface grinders, find the going tough when it comes to the sheet metal side of things like boiler making and water tanks.
These, I have realised must be made correctly in order to obtain insurance should a boiler blow and injure someone.
This will of course come later as i have only recently bought myself a milling machine to further add to my 'box of bits' and with which in due course I intend making my own gears.
