VFT boiler project

Please have a look at my latest project.. It is an 8x8" VFT boiler.. Pic attached. Not a pretty sight but it will be encased in a steel shell in due time.. The boiler ends are 2mm plate and the shell just slightly less.. Standard 1/2" copper water pipe tubes. I'm working on the stanley steamer principle.. lol.. You may note that two tubes are already brazed in. That was an experiment to evaluate the relative thermal efficiency of oxy acetylene over oxy propane. Acetylene is good for the heavier sections but it is dirty and expensive. Hopefully I can get the edge tubes silvered in before the gas runs out.. lol.. Best wishes from down under.. Geoff..

I am yet to have my first cup of tea, so may be a bit off. However i would have doubled the number of tubes and put in couple of solid stays.
