![]() 21 forum posts 15 photos | Wonder if anybody could help me ID this taper. I was led to believe it was a B&S #9 but although the small and large diameters are about right for that, it would appear it's an inch or so too short! Can anyone help please? Sizes are appx as the only tool I could lay my hands on where I am at the moment is a cheap digital vernier and i'm not sure of its accuracy. Thanks David |

![]() 21 forum posts 15 photos | Hi Gray Thanks for the info. It only came into my possesion the other day so maybe someone has a similar problem It was "extricated" from a Burke #4 Mill hence then infor about a B&S No 9. Have now used it as a pattern and the stub threaded with a Myford thread so can at least get a collet chuck on the fron which will be fine for the light work it will be doing. Thanks
David P.S You will see I have another "mystery object" this time from the back of a super 7 |
