Hi is there a formula to work out feed rates on different material whilst reaming. Cheers

For a starting point, reaming feed rate is usually judged to be twice the drill feed rate, while speed is one third drilling RPM for HSS reamers and two thirds for Cobalt. Make sure you use a machine reamer and follow the allowances for the amount of material to leave in the bore for reaming. This information can be found on most manfacture's and some suppliers web sites.
