5 forum posts | Does any body out there have a copy of the kit drawings for the Single Cylinder Vertical 2" x 2 "steam engine with reversing gear? The engine shares a lot of parts with the Horizontal 2 x 2 , at a pinch this would be a starter. Please make contact if you can help and we can sort something out. Many thanks Terry Knight |

1 forum posts | Hi Just joined the forum and am after the same set of drawings! Bought the castings over 30 years ago and started to build the engine in my spare time whilst on board various ships. Have now found the part finished engine but have lost the drawings. Would love to finish the engine now I have the time again, and a lathe! Any drawings or parts of drawings would be a great help. Hopefully Iain |

5 forum posts | To Iain, Thanks for the reply, as yet yours is the only one!. I am going to put a free Wanted request in The Model Engineer magazine because this may reach the parts that a computer does not reach i.e the even older pratters. You can email me direct on [email protected] or feel free to ring on 01977 621204, in Yorkshire. I can talk faster than I can type. Briefly the 2x2 Horizontal and the Vertical are almost identical in bits/sizes only the bedplate, X head guide and the vertical supports are different. Now I do have a part copy of a copy for the Horizontal engine drawing, this will cover most of the construction, I have kept quiet about this on the forum. You are welcome to a hard copy of this when I go into Doncaster. We have the grand daughter here at the moment and she sleeps in this spare room, so I have to vacate soon. Feel free to ring tommorow Terry Knight |
