I need to put half-round brass beading around the cab door frame and the edges of the coal bunker of my 3 1/2" William.
The brass work is made from 1.2mm plate.
Do I use 1/16 or the larger 3/32 half-round material?
I have no idea which will look best.

Tony,

Cabside and tender side beading on full size LNER locos was typically 1 1/2" so 3/32" will be fine. The coal rails were heavier so 1/8" or even 5/32" would not be out of place for them. Use the same size for the verticals.
