2356 forum posts 47 photos | I was very saddened to read of the passing of Neville Evans. I did not know him personally , only through his writings in ME. His construction series were well written, very informative, entertaining, and easy to follow, and his drawings were usually very clear. His attitude was a positive one. When ( very occasionally) mistakes were made he simply published corrections. I found his style refreshing, and felt it was a breath of fresh air compared with some of the "old guard" designers. I will miss his contributions, his passing is a serious loss to the ME world. My best wishes to his family.

41 forum posts 1 photos | Being 'just a reader' of Neville's work I somehow felt that he was a friend I had not met. His writings were a source of inspiration and as a seasoned loco builder the advice he gave was very valuable indeed. I will miss his contributions to the magazine a great deal.
My deepest sympathy goes out to all his family and friends |
