526 forum posts 45 photos | Is anyone familiar with the workings of the Thiel 158 Duplex milling machine? Whilst making brackets for fitting a DRO, I removed the Y axis power feed stops and the power feed overran its travel and the Y axis shear pin sheared. Question: Where is the Y axis shear pin located? I know the main one on the left hand side (and it is intact), but I believe each axis has its own shear pin. I have asked this question on a couple of other fora, but so far no response. Is the Thiel such a rare beast?! Dave The Emerald Isle |
