Modified Cylinders and valve chests by Martin Evans
WorkshopPete | 25/09/2009 14:03:30 |
87 forum posts | Martin Evans published a GA Drawing and a one page description in Model Engineer of modifications to LBSC Molly. This covered a number of items The reversing stand was moved back 3/8" to clear the boiler back head
The 1-1 links in the valve gear were removed and the expansion links conected diectly to the valve rods. This invoved a redesign of the motion plate a new cross head arrangement and angling the cylinder valve faces. My question is did Martin Evans ever publish detailed drawings of the modifications or was the GA the only drawing produced? |

41 forum posts 1 photos | I'm also building 'Molly' and am experiencing problems. I have solved a few by looking at Martin Evans 'Jinty' drawings but am still having difficulty.
When looking at sites on the web that sell steam models I have never seen Molly built as plan (I know that plans are not engineering drawings) and wondered if anyone has managed to actually built it as designed.
I would be interested to hear from anyone who has buit / is building this loco
