![]() 1129 forum posts 1 photos | Hi All, My Roadhawk HD dash cam has not been setting the correct date and time for quite a while now. Just got around to trying to sort it out! Works OK and announces GPS lock whenever we go out, I have an external GPS antenna built in to the car. Is there some sort of battery in the camera that may have died? If so can I fix it? Cheers, Martin |

196 forum posts 5 photos | Part of the GPS broadcast includes the week encoded in a 10 bit field (0-1023) which increments for around 20 years and then goes back to zero again. Older devices need a software patch from their makers to update so you will have to search and see if something exists for your device and how to apply it. I have a TomTom that no longer predicts arrival time for this reason, unfortunately now unsupported by them so unfixable but still works otherwise.
