![]() 1 forum posts | For some years I have been lucky enough to have access to a friends Colchester Student Lathe for various purposes. The Lathe has developed a leak which we have traced to the reverse lever. It looked to be a simple job at first, remove the nut on the shaft and just draw out the shaft, replace a washer and O-Ring and hey presto. Unfortunately I managed to get the nut and washer off the gear but the shaft will only come out about an inch before seizing solid. I cant see anything in the parts diagram and can only guess the shaft is bent? Any advice on this would be appreciated before we get the really heavy gear in. Regards Chris |
