He is my grandson's latest creation. When he goes into my shed he likes to invent something, he is five years old and shaping up well as a future model engineer. After he left this creation, I took the liberty to glue it together, hope he approves my input when he sees it, otherwise I'm in big trouble.

You IDIOT! You've glued that nail on in the wrong place!! You'll be in bother now with your grandson!

Of course I'm joking... great to see interest in our hobby from the younger element, so keep up the good work and keep on encouraging him - and more to the point, chivvy up any female siblings of his...

Joe's got a big future in antenna design, or in 5 axis hole drilling / tapping! smiley

Just kidding, great to hear he's spending time visualising and making things in the workshop with Granddad.

It's a real joy when a young person of any sex takes an interest in making something with their hands.

Now is the time to instil good habits in the workshop!

Splendid that one so young is using their imagination to make something with their hands.

Continue to encourage him.

The world needs inventor and designers with practical skills.
