Reversing the Saddle

Fitting the X axis unit at the back of the saddle will considerably reduce Y axis travel and fitting it to the front would foul the gibb adjusters. I have just tried reversing the saddle to overcome this, and apart from a bit of tightness at the back end of travel this seems to work ok, I can leave the table reversed. This solution seems too easy, am I missing something? |
