Dholpur Valve Gear
Computer simulation ( Wallace ) shows very poor events for the Dholpur design.

 39 forum posts 9 photos | Has anyone put the Dholpur valve gear layout design measurements into a computer simulator? I have got very poor events from the as drawn design but I know there are several examples of this design in existence which appear to run very smoothly. I used the Wallace simulator on a previous loco and found this very useful when sorting out a badly designed layout. I also had a lot of support and guidance with the use of the simulator from the late Don Ashton. Grateful for anyone's input, especially a Dholpur builder!
