location of ejector pipe

204 forum posts | Another question regarding vacuum braking. Does the choke pipe have to run inside the boiler? I did not build the boiler for my locomotive and it does not have the fitting on the backhead or smokebox end? Hoped to run on outside and into smokebox Any help gratefully received! |

![]() 525 forum posts 65 photos | Just exhaust the ejector to atmosphere. Both my engines have the ejectors pointing at the ground with no pipes on the outlet. You'll pull more vacuum and avoid a lot of unnecessary work. |
