Family member is making Rob Roy and we're looking for info about the lubricator pipes... where they fit into the valve chest covers. Can anyone who has a Rob Roy grab us a picture or 2 of the pipework near the valve chests? The exhaust pipework looks OK, but it looks near impossible to fit the lubricator pipes. Many thanks Ian |

1033 forum posts 2 photos | Cannot do photo but lubricator pipes don’t fit into valve chests, the pipe from lubricator fits into the bottom of the steam tee. |

![]() 517 forum posts 57 photos | Here you go - a couple of photos of a chassis that I picked up last year: The oil pipe from the lubricator feeds into a clack screwed into the front of the block in the middle of the steam manifold. Hope that helps John |

![]() 273 forum posts 103 photos | Perfect John. I know there's some discrepancy on the drawings, as he, and others online have spoken about, but these are perfect. It's just very tight for getting the two pipes from the Tee, into the valve chests. Many thanks for those pics |

![]() 517 forum posts 57 photos | Yes, it's a pretty naff design really. A better way would be to have the steam enter the steamchest on the front edge via a couple of flanged elbows. I might alter the chassis that I've got to do that when I get around to completing the loco. John.
