5563 forum posts 322 photos | Aha! Better. The thing on the right is a pull stud for an int taper toolholder to adapt it for use in an ATC on a CNC mill. The drawbar has a clip on the end that grabs it. Other bits look they might be alignment aids. |

![]() 2549 forum posts 235 photos | If the flat topped tool is a metric or imperial length (measured to a reasonable tolerance) it may be a height setting pillar for items that are quite tall when clamped to the machine bed. Martin C |

26 forum posts 14 photos | Ok I now understand how the pull stud works, it helps when you know the name of something to google it, thanks. I'll check the height of the l/h tool tomorrow, I wonder why the r/h tool is turned to a point. Also, why have flats been machined on the bases, and grooves machined in those flats. Philip. |
