Chester v20 R8 conversion ?

51 forum posts 2 photos | OK all Has any one out there with a chester v20 looked to see if your is a way to do an R8 spindle conversion. I know all the grizzly g0704 came with an R8 . im wondering if i buy all the parts if they would fit.
Any one looked at it ? |

5563 forum posts 322 photos | Looking at the Chester website they don't supply an R8 version. R8 collets are considerably bigger than MT2 so it's quite likely the spindle will be smaller for the latter. though I favour R8 I suspect you wouldn't find the conversion easy. |

470 forum posts 177 photos | If the lower taper roller bearing is as on the Grizzly 0704 it is 62 mm outside diameter.This is the same as most minilathes and I have used a lot of time and some money to scheme a ER40 version.
