Sadly, my father was unable to complete building his LNER Pacific Type 4-6-2 Locomotive (3/4" scale - 3 1/2" Gauge). I have drawings from Henry Greenly and my Dad actually 'steamed' up and got the pistons moving/ wheels turning when I was very young. Dad always said this was the 'Flying Scotsman'.>>

The model has a partially build tender and is starting to show signs of rust. I am looking to understand the engine a bit more - and more importantly - if it is possible to get this completed somehow. I recognise this might be quite a serious undertaking - but my father had collected nearly all the parts he would have needed to complete this (including boiler, copper work, etc.) - >>

The model can be viewed in Bedford/ Stoke on Trent areas if anyone things they can help/ advice or take this project on. >>

Thanks in advance, >>

David>>
