426 forum posts 1 photos | Hi all, Does anyone use cut knurling tools rather than the more usual forming or compression knurls? I have just bought some cut knurling tools and wondered if anyone had any ups for their use? I have downloaded the Quick tools instruction manual for the tools I have and it seems straight forward, but I wonder about the diameter of the workpiece in relation to the pitch of knurl required. I will do some experiments when the snow clears from my shop door and report back. Mick |

750 forum posts 37 photos | I use Quick and Integi cut knurling tools and for both manufacturers I've seen suggestions to calculate for optimum diameters for the knurls to track, I either calculate or run a test for critical jobs but it does tend to work when I just knurl without calculation. |
