Hi guys

I am building a 5" Tich I picked this as it was a beginners loco. I am in despair of the lack of information on the 5" Tich I can see lots have been built and half finished ones that are on ebay .

I am on my second set of drawing one from the 60’s and a print from GLR it has shown holes that was missing. i have looked at the 3” ½ info all looks the same and well documented except for the boiler that is different as this is what i am having problems with is there a book for the 5” Tich as i spend hours a hours looking at the drawings it came very close to scraping it and move on...

Any help with this will be welcome

Thanks Kevin

Hi Kevin,

My dad built a 5” Tich about 25-30 years ago and its recently been recommissioned and had it running at our local track. It is a little different than the standard one as it has a full cab which I think finishes it off beautifully. If I remember I shall ask him tomorrow where he had his information from. You can always drop me a private message to remind me!

Kevin,

I've forwarded your query onto my dad and he said he purchased the Tich drawings back in the late 70's from Kennions and scratch built the boiler from those drawings. He doesn't remember there being any serious issues .

If you're still having problems maybe you could provide more information on what issues you're having
