Myford raising block thread size

1504 forum posts 142 photos | There is no thread inside the levelling screw, the bolt passes through it. The external thread on the levelling screw, and so for the hole in the block, for half the thickness of the block, is 9/16"BSF. The lower half of the hole in the block is 5/16 BSF for the fixing bolt. |

56 forum posts 3 photos | Great thanks for that So to mount on a bench would i be better getting 5/16 BSF threaded rod as im not sure the standard studs would be long enough to go through a 30mm thick bench |

1504 forum posts 142 photos | The standard studs will no way go through 30 mm. The bottom thread is only just long enough to go through a standard Myford steel cabinet. Threaded rod is a quick way out and leaves you plenty of room to get it right. |

![]() 133 forum posts 23 photos | And in my case wasn't quite long enough for the cabinet and myford floor stand, 9/16 is almost M8 so I just ran an M8 tap through because I had M8 threaded bar in stock 😀 Allan |

1504 forum posts 142 photos | Andrew A strange thread to put your question? Answer Go to and click on "classifieds" about 1/2 way across the black bar at top of home page. A template will come up - at top left it has For Sale/Wanteds Click on Wanteds It will show you a list of current ads, but at top right click on "new ad" or whatever it says there
