I have used my short bed for wood for the first time today and it work really well, but of course got absolutely covered in wood dust etc. So I am thinking it might be good to keep the long bed for metal working (and the very, very occasional longer piece of wood turning) and then short bed just for wood turning. That way I won't have to fret at messing up the long bed. Anyone got something tucked away? We are in Suffolk, so obviously distance is a bit of a consideration, albeit not an insurmountable one.
