Hello,

I am compiling a book on screwcutting gearboxes for those lathes most frequently found in our workshops, I would like to include the Smart and Brown A as part of the information. I am looking for an owner who will take the trouble to send me a good quality jpeg photo or two of the gearbox and its data plate. I also will need to know if the leadscrew pitch is 6 or 8 tpi. As the picture will be used by the printers it has to be one that has not been compressed or resized.

My email is wood_ y (at) btinternet (dot) com all lower case with no spaces.

There is an underscore between the d and y

Thank you

Brian

Another bit of information please, this time for a Model A fitted with the Metric gearbox

Could someone send me a picture of the information on the gearbox plate please and the change wheel chart inside the cover? I already know the lead screw pitch is 4 mm

Very many thanks
