7227 forum posts 21 photos | Two comments. 1) Since the bars seem to be for alignment, would Silver Steel be a better material to use? 2) DO use plenty of tapping compound, (Trefolex, Rocol STD, or HORROR, HORROR, Bacon fat) And stating the obvious, do back off every half turn, to break the swarf. If in doubt remove the Tap and clear the swarf before relubricating and proceeding At M18, you will have some good muscles afterwards! Howard |
