Which collets to buy, never had my own before

Sorry, I was referring to the tolerances quoted by the OP for the work, not the collet runouts. I guess the gist of my argument is that the OP talks about holding dimensions, but not about concentricity.

If I've understood the requirements correctly the need is for a plain shaft and some shell bearings. I'd agree that the best way to proceed is to buy sufficiently accurate material for the shaft and machine the bearings at one setting. At least the cost of a collet set is then avoided.
