To return to the T&Cs, why then do the proprieters promise to contact a forum member before publishing a photograph he/she has put on the forum, but not when they publish text? Is this a bit of copyright law that only lawyers understand? Phil Yes. The written comments are created on the forum and remain the property of the forum, according to the T&C the poster agreed to before posting. A photo was created outside the forum so the copyright belongs to the creator of the photo. Posting it on the forum does not give away the already existing copyright to the forum owner. So before it can be published in a hardcopy mag etc, the copyright owner has to give permission. |

1504 forum posts 142 photos | Thanks Hopper. No wonder my head hurts! So if you photograph text and put it in your "My Photos" and add it to the forum, what happens then? Or is this just being silly? Phil Edited By Robbo on 22/05/2013 09:32:41 |
